Role description Manager

In order to receive the role of Manager of a given staff environment one follows a long path that starts with the applications for one of the four roles: Helper, Moderator, Event Collaborator or Administrator respecting the guidelines of the role for which one has applied, in case no wrongdoing has been committed or no verified reports have been received, after the initial trial period one can propose one's applications as Manager of the role one is currently filling after 31 days, by submitting one's formal request to the following email [email protected] with the subject line "Manager Election Request" and as a message the presentation of the applicant's identity, the role he/she currently holds and his/her willingness to want to run for Manager. A meeting will then be organised 14 days after the receipt of the e-mail. The meeting must be attended by the members of the applicant's role, at least one leader, the current manager of the role held by the applicant and the other current managers. The vote will be 75% by the members of the role for which the manager is being elected and 25% by the other current managers on the server. The weight of a probationary member's vote is 25% less than that of an official member, however, the weight of manager votes does not differ from each other.

The role of manager is an important responsibility towards the server and the community within it, a manager must strive to advance and safeguard his or her own server environment but also help the other environments by: managing projects, events and members to the best of his or her ability; meeting the following goals; performing the following tasks and always accomplishing them with excellent results; and finally, a manager must also go beyond the assigned tasks in order to make the server and the community within it a safe, welcoming, inclusive and fun place for all.

Managers' objectives are:

• Increasing the effectiveness and productivity of staff members;
• Constantly working to improve oneself and one's work;
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and comfortable climate for all;
• Increasing collaboration between staff members;
• Listening and making one's co-workers listen;
• Organising events and projects in the best possible way;

The tasks of the managers are:

• Attend all meetings, votes and events;
• Have new members apply and follow up their applications, supervise them in case they are not applying for the role for which they are managers;
• To best represent the team for which I am manager;
• Presenting and taking on the requests made by the members representing the manager;
• Working for constant improvement together with the other managers;
• It manages the means made available to the members it represents and seeks new programmes, methods and innovative ideas to increase the efficiency and productivity of its members.
